Service Program
ORGANIZATIONAL CHART
When I joined the Knights of Columbus, I
anticipated being part of an organization that would enable
me to accomplish things that were beyond my personal
capabilities. Perhaps that thought was in your mind as well.
The Grotto Knights exist for just that
purpose. The Program Committee is the means we have to
accomplish those goals (our Mission),. That committee’s
purpose is to plan events that focus on “The Four F’s”:
Faith, Family, Fellowship and our Future
(youth-oriented activities). In addition, as a parish
council, we are charged with attending to the needs of
Assumption Grotto as a community of faith. Pretty tall
order.
The “Service Program Organizational
Chart” on the first page of the Program Committee portion of
this web site shows the scope of the many programs promoted
by the Knights of Columbus. Do not be intimidated by the
quantity of programs shown. The chart merely suggests the
many ways that our council can be involved in any of the “Four
F’s”. The chart is an outline that defines which
committee has responsibility for any particular activity.
Your Committee Chairs await your
contact and input – and your suggestions that might enhance
an existing program or, even better, will establish an
entirely new activity. What is it that you have wanted to do
for the Church or the community, but lacked the support and
resources? The Grotto Knights can help?
We meet at 6:00 PM before the monthly
Officers’ Meeting. YOU are invited to attend. Bring your
ideas |
