Charter Ceremony June 22, 2004

The Knights of Columbus Worldwide are celebrating 125 years of unity and growth this year of 2007. Founded March 29th 1882 .

Knights of Columbus ; A Catholic Fraternal Organization with over 1.7 million members, 13,000 Councils Nationwide ; over 70,000 members in Michigan alone. Assumption Grotto Council #13419 has approximately 117 members strong. We are a mix of First, Second, Third and Fourth degree members. We have approximately 30 members in the fourth degree, some of whom are Color Guards. We come together to share in Masses, and to celebrate our achievements; We gather at monthly meetings every third Saturday of the month.

The Knights of Columbus Nation wide supports our members with optional life Insurance programs that are equal and above all others in any other Organization, over one Billion Policy's sold world wide; We Provide members and their families with legal and financial aid when in distress; We provide our members with volunteer service opportunities to the Catholic Church, their community, along with other families and the young.

We The Knights of Columbus are Committed by our Actions and Deeds to bring about a better parish and community relationship. To proclaim the word of God, and build self esteem in every member and those around our community to do the will of God To Love Teach & Obey.
